What is Haven of Rest?
Haven of Rest is a Bible-based discipleship program and ministry located in Anderson, South Carolina that is designed to rescue, restore, and release men and women facing life-dominating problems related to addiction and homelessness.
Rescue: Meeting immediate needs while offering Biblical guidance
Restore: A process of transformation from point of crisis to healing through Jesus Christ and Biblical community
Release: Becoming equipped to be a godly, functioning member of society
Our goal is to see every program participant will have immediate needs met, find freedom from addictions, and hope in a new life with Christ.

Every year as the holidays come up on the horizon, I find myself looking with fresh eyes at all the grateful faces enjoying a good hot meal at Haven of Rest—and the kind of biblical hope, healing, and recovery that leads to real life change.
Craig will never forget the moment. Ruined by addiction to prescription medication due to an injury, soon he was led to anything to stop the pain. Craig hit rock bottom without a stop along the way.
On September 27th, 2018 The Haven held its Annual Fundraising Banquet. This Banquet helps fund our Women’s Ministry discipleship-based program that seeks to rescue, restore, and release women from broken lifestyles related to addiction and homelessness.
Thursday, August 2nd is a day that marks the start of a new beginning for 2 men and a day of promotion for two more. Tony and Chris completed the Men’s program at The Haven, and in celebration, we held a graduation ceremony to commemorate their journey.
I’d like to tell you about J.D., a hurting neighbor who came here to The Haven when he honestly had nowhere else to turn . . .
“I was at the bottom of a valley,” he told me. “And I knew I needed to come back up, but just felt hopeless, miserable, and scared.”
Just a few weeks ago we had the honor of hosting our 18th Annual Golf Classic! This event is much more than getting together to play golf, but it is a chance to gather together as a community to help make a difference in the lives of men just like Peewee.
Summer’s here, as you can tell every time you step out of doors. Even the nights are sweltering, and no matter how much I enjoy evenings in Anderson, I often can’t wait to get back inside.
