What the Lord had Done for Us
18th Annual Golf Classic
I’d like to tell you about J.D., a hurting neighbor who came here to The Haven when he honestly had nowhere else to turn . . .
“I was at the bottom of a valley,” he told me. “And I knew I needed to come back up, but just felt hopeless, miserable, and scared.”
Rescued, Restored, and Released!
Just a few weeks ago we had the honor of hosting our 18th Annual Golf Classic! This event is much more than getting together to play golf, but it is a chance to gather together as a community to help make a difference in the lives of men just like Peewee.
Changed Lives and a New Beginning!
Summer’s here, as you can tell every time you step out of doors. Even the nights are sweltering, and no matter how much I enjoy evenings in Anderson, I often can’t wait to get back inside.
But what if you’re someone like Spencer—a neighbor who knows just how black and miserable the nights can be when life-dominating problems have cost you your home. And your family.

People like Marie, who came to Haven of Rest for a meal, help, and hope when all seemed lost . . .
He found HOPE when all else was lost!

Men's Training Center Graduation
I’m encouraged every time I see the smiles of those who have overcome circumstances, or even addiction, and leave Haven of Rest for a brighter, better future.
People like Malcolm, who had hit rock bottom, but found a meal, help, and hope for a positive, productive life after God brought him to The Haven—and friends like you.
Haven Benefit Concert 2018
What an incredible night we had last Thursday at the Men’s Training Center (MTC) as we got to celebrate two client graduations from the program and seven client promotions! The Lord is faithful and good!
He was Lost and Broken, but he’s now REDEEMED!
What a beautiful night! The Haven of Rest held its Annual Benefit Concert, featuring Greater Vision, at Concord Baptist Church on Friday, March 9, 2018.
This season is a critical time of year for showing Christ’s love and compassion to our neighbors most in need. What better time than Easter to share our blessings by giving meals and hope in Jesus to every defeated person coming to us for help and compassion!
People like Joey, a local man who had lost everything and in pain told me, “From the depths of my soul I knew I was lost—broken and alone.”
