You will not be able to make any
phone calls for the first two weeks. This will be strictly enforced. This is
to give yourself time to focus on you and to get yourself together.
Do not ask staff to make phone
calls for you unless it is a dire emergency. Staff will determine if it is
absolutely necessary. Continually asking for things that are not an
emergency could result in a write up.
After the first two weeks you
will make one phone call a week. You will be allowed ten minutes for this
call. These calls will be made on Sunday Afternoon between 2 and 4 PM.
Inform your families of these times when you write them so that they will
know to be available. To make long distance calls you must have a phone card
or call collect.
You are not allowed to make any
three way calls. We must know who you are talking to.
If you have children living in
two separate locations talk to the Director about allowing you to split your
calls into 5 minutes each. THIS IS ONLY FOR YOUR CHILDREN. NOT BOYFRIENDS OR
PARENTS. IF YOU RECEIVE A WRITE UP BEFORE YOUR CALL YOU WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO MAKE A CALL FOR THAT WEEK. (EX. IF YOU RECEIVE A WRITE UP ON
MONDAY-SATURDAY, YOU WILL NOT GET A CALL THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY.)
Mail will be picked up at our
main office on Mondays and Wednesdays by the Director.
Mail will also be mailed out on
Mondays and Wednesdays.
You will only be allowed to
receive mail from the names on your list. If you have a church family
that would like to write you cards or etc. talk to the Director about
arranging this.
You will not be allowed to write
or communicate with any one who is in jail unless it is your husband,
brother or Father. And we will need proof of this.
You are never to write anyone you
did drugs or Alcohol with. We reserve the right to ask your families
if there is anyone who should not be put on your writing list.
DO NOT ASK ANYONE TO MAIL
ANYTHING FOR YOU. IT WILL BE PICKED UP ON MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS FROM THE
HALL TABLE BY STAFF THAT WILL BE MAILING IT. IF YOU ASK A TEACHER OR VISITOR
TO MAIL ANYTHING FOR YOU, YOU WILL BE WRITTEN UP AND COULD BE GROUNDS FOR
DISMISSAL.
IF YOU ABUSE THESE RULES YOUR
WRITING PRIVILEGES WILL BE STOPPED.
YOU MUST OPEN UP ALL MAIL IN THE
OFFICE IN FRONT OF STAFF AND REMOVE THE STAMP. WE WILL RANDOMLY CHECK YOUR
MAIL TO BE SURE THE THINGS COMING IN AND GOING OUT OF HERE ARE POSITIVE.
IF YOU RECEIVE THREE WRITE UPS
YOU WILL BE DISMISSED FROM THE PROGRAM IMMEDIATELY.
After one write up you will lose
phone privileges and could lose writing privileges. That decision will be up
to the Director.
