First Phase
Upon arrival
at the Mission, a new client is given an initial orientation and begins
participating in the Mission’s “New Life Program”. After a
physical and mental assessment determines that a client is ready, he will
be assigned to work at one of the Haven’s thrift stores, distribution
center, office duties, or kitchen duties. Satisfactory completion of the
New Life Program, along with a willingness to learn, cooperate with
the Haven’s guidelines and rules, and a desire to mature in discipline and
spirit, the client will be promoted to the “Freedom In Christ”.
In the
Freedom In Christ
Program, a client begins to spend more time in study and deepening his
relationship with his Creator.
Throughout their
time at Haven of Rest the client must keep a daily journal of their
activities, problems, and truths that are learned.
