Potential clients hear about
the Haven Of Rest through many sources such as this web site, word of
mouth, billboards, and through the court system. Haven of Rest has
a very good reputation within the court system. Many are given
favorable terms if they are interested in going though the complete
program.
For those that contact us,
the application process usually starts with an introductory
conversation. You can print out the
application form and fax it in to speed up the process if you want.
If the client is within 100
miles, they need to then come in for an in-person interview.
During the interview subjects such as your legal status,
medical requirements,
rules, and what you should bring.
If they are pleased with the
program and are willing to abide by the rules they will be assigned to
the next empty bed. If we don't have a bed we ask them to call in
every other day until a bed becomes open.
If the client is more than
100 miles away we will conduct a phone interview. The same
criteria for a bed applies.
We do ask for a donation of
$500 if the family can help. The donations help to "keep the doors
open". Not having a donation will not keep them out of the
program.
You should bring no more than
seven changes of clothes to start with.
If you don't have the changes, a basic set of clothes will be given to
you.
The items you bring will be searched for items that violate the rules.
You will be asked to dispose/send back any violations.
